Typical Day

Your child will be involved in developmentally-appropriate activities throughout the day. We plan our curricular activities around the children’s interests and where they are with their development linked to the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage)

Children will enjoy daily trips to the library,  local parks, The Ecology Centre and playgrounds where they can burn off some excess energy and explore the world around them.

They can enjoy the playground -like atmosphere of our fenced-in back garden. It is filled with a choice of ride on toys, ball play activities, a large staging area with chalkboards, water wall, a mud kitchen, a Mouse Lane Train/Bus station, a play house and many other seasonal delights.

Weekly activities include:

• Story Time

• Show & Tell

• Puzzles and Games

• Computer Time

• Arts & Crafts

• Music and Rhyme Time

• Pre-Reading Activities

• And much more…

Field Trips

We aim to help your children learn about the world around them by taking them on a variety of field trips throughout the year. They are always full of fun and excitement and makes the school holidays that much more fun! Our field trips, as below, are usually arranged for during school holidays and half terms to allow the children to enjoy a whole day out.

Field trips may include:

• A Veterinary Clinic

• The Aquarium

• The farm

• Museums

• Castles

• The beach

• The Cryer Theatre

Nap Times

When children play hard, they need a comfortable, quiet place to rest! Babies and young toddlers will sleep in a quiet room in cosy beds. Children ages 0-3 will rest in their own cots that we provide with blankets, sheets and a pillow.

Stuffed animals or a naptime comforter from home are always welcome to help the children relax and feel comfortable and secure.
