My name is Hester Adri Tempest, and my friends and family call me, Adri.

I have diplomas in both Childcare and Psychology, an ICP course Certificate (Stepping into Childminding) including an Early Years First Aid Certificate and an up to date Enhanced CRB. Besides my childcare qualifications I am also Microsoft Certified, a CIW Professional, a Master CIW Designer and a CIW Associate and hold a Certificate in Graphic Design.

In the last few months I have completed the following courses:

• CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Safety and Training

• Observation and Planning

• How to complete a Risk Assessment

• Managing Children with Heath Needs in Early Years

• Supporting Social and Behavioural learning within the EYFS

• Child Protection Basic Awareness

• EYFS Completing Ofsted’s Self Evaluation Form

I am very proud to say that I am one of 4 Childminders (out of 300+) involved in the 'setting up' of the first London Borough of Sutton Formal Childminding Network. I have been given the opportunity to share my views and give my input into the standards required to join the network.

Before registering as a Childminder, I used to be a career Nanny and started my first sole charge childcare position in 2001.

I thoroughly enjoy working with children and watching them grow into confident adults. I have more than nine years of sole charge childcare experience, working with babies and children between the ages of three months up to the age of nine years, as well as having a beautiful daughter of my own. Although I take my job and responsibilities very serious, I am always friendly, kind-hearted, patient and fair. I have worked with some wonderful families and have received great references.

I am a confident cook and will prepare your child’s food fresh every day as I believe that all children should have a healthy and varied diet. Together I am sure we can give your child a nutritious start to life.

I come from a very sporty and active family, and love the outdoors, so if your little angel has half as much energy as I do, I am positive we’ll have a great time. Together with the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) and through play and exploring we’ll work on motoring skills and speech development as well as laying a foundation in discipline and confidence.

I aim to provide the children in my care with stimulating and exciting activities as well as offering a safe, nurturing environment where your child will get the attention and care that he or she needs. You can rest assured that your child will be cared for with the utmost kindness, love and respect. I believe each child is a precious gift and I treat them as though they were my own.

I look forward to welcoming you and your family into my home.
