I am very proud to say that I am one of 4 Childminders (out of 300+) involved in the 'setting up' of the first London Borough of Sutton Formal Childminding Network. I have been given the opportunity to share my views and give my input into the standards required to join the network.

Before registering as a Childminder, I used to be a career Nanny and started my first sole charge childcare position in 2001 working with some high profile families in London.

I thoroughly enjoy working with children and watching them grow into confident adults. I have more than twenty years of sole charge childcare experience, working with babies and children from birth up to the age of 13 years, as well as having a beautiful daughter of my own. Although I take my job and responsibilities very serious, I am always friendly, kind-hearted, patient and fair. I have worked with some wonderful families and have received great references.

I am a confident cook and will prepare your child’s food fresh every day as I believe that all children should have a healthy and varied diet. Together I am sure we can give your child a nutritious start to life whatever their dietary needs may be.

The Mouse's House is run by myself and my husband, Wayne Tempest. Wayne is registered as an OFSTED Registered Childminder in his own right and have received a grading of "Outstanding" in his inspection reports since registering with OFSTED in 2012.

We both come from  very sporty and active families, and love the outdoors, so if your little angel has half as much energy as we do, we am positive we’ll have a great time. Together with the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) and through play and exploring we’ll work on motoring skills and speech development as well as laying a foundation in discipline and confidence.

We aim to provide the children in our care with stimulating and exciting curricular based activities as well as offering a safe, nurturing environment where your child will get the attention and care that he or she needs. You can rest assured that your child will be cared for with the utmost kindness, love and respect.  We believe each child is a precious gift and we treat them as though they are our own.

We look forward to welcoming you and your family into our home.
